CEAT Innovation Hub welcomes two new members

CEAT are excited to welcome two new members to our Innovation Hub – Haizea Analytics and Future Swirl.

Haizea Analytics is a data analytics company born from the Fenner School at ANU that works to harness the huge potential of earth observation data. They have created a technological platform, terrak.io, which gives users access to the massive geospatial datasets gathered from orbiting satellites, climate models and on-the-ground sensors. It allows users to explore and apply the data to generate interactive maps, reports, and data feeds in real-time to allow for better informed decision making.

In an agrifood context, this technology can assist with providing data to farmers on mapping and tracking land to enable better use of resources, as well as providing efficiencies in many other parts of the supply chain.

Future Swirl is another local Canberra start-up business who are bringing a fresh and delicious new take on ice cream. Using oat milk as a base, they have created a soft-serve ice cream which is not only dairy and nut-free, but also vegan. Their soft-serve is made without fillers or additives, and uses local, organic ingredients as much as possible. With a commitment to sustainability and organic practices, Future Swirl is not only providing a delightful alternative for those with dietary restrictions, but also targeting those looking to make environmentally-conscious choices.

They were successful in being awarded an Innovation Connect (ICON) grant from the ACT government and CBRIN earlier in the year, and are now working at creating a range of take-home oat milk ice cream tubs.

Keep an eye out on future newsletters to hear more about our new members.
