Canberra innovators connect at ANU

This month we joined with our friends at Canberra Innovation Network to host First Wednesday Connect, a monthly event which brings together the Canberra start up community to share ideas and encourage collaboration.

The event is an opportunity for entrepreneurs, researchers and innovators to connect informally, and form the personal relationships and networks needed to build and grow a business here in Canberra.

At the final First Wednesday Connect for the year, CEAT Hub businesses Gondwana Genomics, MTE and PPB Technology took to the stage to give a one-minute pitch, showcasing their businesses to the diverse audience.  CEAT Education and Training lead Rachael Rodney-Harris and ANU Fenner School’s James Latimer also gave the audience an insight into the programs and capabilities which can be accessed through CEAT and ANU.

It was great to have everyone attend ANU and see some of what we have to offer. Thank you to CBRIN for co-hosting with us.

If you are interested in learning more about Canberra’s innovation community, we invite you to join us in attending CBRIN’s last, and most exciting, event of the year – the 2022 Innovation Showcase. Tickets are free and will give you the opportunity to hear from Chief Minister Andrew Barr, as well as see Canberra startups go head-to-head in a live shark-tank style pitching competition judged live by the audience.

The Innovation Showcase will be held at 4pm, Wednesday 7 December 2022.
